I was travelling alone in Leeds for a microbiology training, but got stuck on a weekend-without-companion. Then I encouraged myself to go to The Royal Armouries Museum by myself. I visited the Museum on Sunday July 16th 2006 with my 8 year old son. We both enjoyed it and regretted not planning to spend enough time there so we could have seen more of the demonstrations like jousting. My son really enjoyed firing a crossbow (£2.50) and some of the shooting simulators were good too. Admission is free. We... more

By far one of the best arms museums I have ever visited, four large floors that cover the gambit of arms, hunting and warfare. Admission is free, but parking is a bit pricey at five pounds for three hours, and because of the layout, their parking lot is the only feasible place to park.
