Walk from the pairlament to the top of Arthur's Seat is really worth it and it only takes 30-40 minutes. Excelent view of the city more

We spent three nights in Edinburgh recently (staying at the great Ten Hill Place hotel) and really enjoyed our time there. A special spot for us was Holyrood Park, about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. Holyrood Park is hands down my favourite spot in Edinburgh. My husband and I live nearby, and it is the reason we moved to the area. The park boasts all of attractions of the Scottish wilderness, all just a few minutes walk from the city centre. The park has beautifully tended grassy fields for sunbathing, sports, or kite-flying.
