Like other contributors, my husband and I also enjoyed this museum better than the Louvre. We thought the layout was very user-friendly and the size is great! It's manageable to see all of the exhibits in a half-day. We also thought this was well designed for non-French-speakers - the big exhibits all had English descriptions, something lacking in other museums... more

Other than seeing the inside of the building this wasn't one of our more enjoyable visits, Admittedly neither of us are art lovers, but we found this museum to be confusing to get around, very hot, even in mid September and just not worth the price unless you have a museum pass. more

We spent a week in Paris and this museum was the highlight of the trip for me. The Train station structure itself is as beautiful as the artwork it holds. So much light with a wonderful glass dome ceiling. Make sure to go outside on the patio near the cafe upstairs where you can see a beautiful view of the... more

As the other reviewers have said, Musee D'Orsay is wonderful. Get there early in the morning to avoid the lines. I found the layout of this rail station turned museum to be a bit confusing. You will need your map. The art work is lovely. You could spend all day here. The restaurant at the top is the cheapest but... more

Easily found across the Seine from the Jardins de Tuilleries. There are queues to get in, but nothing like the Louvre, we found. This is the place to go if you like impressionist art and sculpture (and probably worth missing if you dont!). We were expecting to love this place as friends had raved about it, but it was not... more

I really enjoy the art here, it was a very impressive building on its own but with the art you could wonder around for hours. The pricing is also very resonable, with reduced rates if you are between 18 - 30 and its free if your under 18. My favourite thing however, and I'm sure that this will outrage some,... more

This is a great musuem, the building is beautiful, It gets crowded but easy to maneuver and not as overwhelming like the Louvre. We rented the audio cassettes in English and they were very easy to use. Went in the early am, had a baugette sandwich as we wanted in line but only waited about 15 minutes. Definitely a must... more

Wanted to go to this museum but the queue was enormous (midweek, June) - this may have been in part because of the poor weather that afternoon. Really disappointed that I wasn't more organised. I went to ask about buying tickets at the advance ticket office (separate door not far from the main entrance - entrance A) and a great... more

This museum is spacious and has escalators. If you have been to the Louvre, you will appreciate this simple luxury. There are many fine impressionist works here in addition to tons of sculpture. The map is easy to understand. The museum pass line is not as short as at some attractions. more
