The climb is worth the view, it gives you an excellent perspective of the streets and city and is a excellent spot from which to get pictures of the Eiffel tower. more

We toured Paris during a cold, wet January. I thought the long climb up the spiral staircase would get me, but the view on the top was magnificent. Ahh, Paris. It was worth braving the cold elements for such a moment. What a city! Take in each second. more

It was great to look at the exhibition and the view from the top. It's a good way to pass an hour or so. The tomb of the unknown soldier is really moving and emblematic, as are the flags. more

When you come out of Charles de Gaule Etoile metro station (lines 1, 2, 6 and RER line A) take the underground walkway to reach the Arc de Triomphe. Don't try and run across the roundabout - you'll never make it, look very foolish and waste time. At the end of the underground walkway is the ticket office. I went... more

I did not go to the top of the Arc, but I still found it beautiful. It is one of those great things you must go see if you are in Paris. We did not want to cross the traffic circle so we stood and admired it from a distance. I took a lot of pictures and they turned out... more

It was expensive, but we climbed the spiral staircase to the top (and took the elevator down!) and were rewarded with beautiful views of the Champs-Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, and of course, Paris itself. At ground level, you can really see the thought that went into the design of the arch itself, it is full of detail and artistry. Definitely... more

Having just come back from a trip to Paris we walked up the Champ Elysse to the Arc de Triomphe making it one of the first things we saw. It is just amazing, a must see. However we were one of the crazy ones and intitally couldn't see how to make our way over to get to it except by... more

We very much enjoyed the top of the Arc and the lovely sunset view. It was also nice to see the veterans and war memorials that make this more alive than some other sights in Paris. It's included on the Museum Pass (you ARE getting a Museum Pass, right?) more

It is common sense not to run across the traffic circle and use the underground tunnel. We did see two people run across and they got lucky. Drivers are crazy and you never know if a car might show up speeding around. If you do not have the museum pass, I would not pay the extra fee to go to... more

Because I had my Museum Pass, which allowed me unlimited access, going to the Arc was a great idea - for me. Had I not of had the pass, actually paying a separate fee to climb the steps might not have been worth the trouble. The monument is a bastion of National pride, some of which might go right over... more
