I went to Panama city in June to teach a summer course and I took a tour in Embera Indian village with Rudy. It was a great experience to see how native Indian villagers live in a self-sufficient way in remote forest in Panama. I was impressed by the healthy and happy glows in their faces and was amazed to... more

On our first trip to Panama, we thought the highlight of our trip would be a passage through the locks aboard our friends' sailboat. However, our friends had more in store: they connected us to Anne Gordon for a day trip into the jungle to visit an Embera village. We rode up river for about an hour in a dugout... more

What better way to visit an Embera village than with a family member? Anne Gordon's tour was great. We traveled to the village by canoe. Ate lunch prepared in a thatched hut on stilts. Chatted with the villagers, got a temporary hagua tattoo, checked out the village crafts...the baskets and masks were superb. Highly recommended. more

My wife and I spent 10 days in Panama and both agree that this was one of the highlights of our trip. We took the tour with Anne Gordon. She picked us up at our hotel and drove us about an hour to the boat launch where the Embera picked us up. The drive was through some beautifully preserved National... more

Based on Trip Advisor's review, we took a tour to Embera indian Viaalge by My Friend Mario tour. Not like major tour company, they gave us just a private tour for two of us with much better price than other tour companies. This tour was a must if you visit Panama. You will experience what you have not had in... more

My family just returned from a Cruise that included Panama...not knowing what to do at this port we decided on the Embrea Indian Village. We all agree that this was the most fantastic experience!!! Although first glance at the canoes was a little worrysome we loved the canoe ride to the breathtaking falls hidden out of the way, then off... more

While staying at Sierra Llorona Lodge, we booked a tour to The Embera Indian Village. I had girded myself for a put-on affair that the Indians just endured on a regular basis with tourists as another source of income for the village. The village that we visited was was a newer village, about a year old. All of the people... more

We also took our tour to the Emberá Village with My Friend Mario travel agency. They are just Excellent. Very secure, informative, attentive, and honest. You will get the best deal by booking any tour with them, No doubt! It was an unique experience, traveling down the Chagres river in a Indian canoe, in the middle of the Jungle. We... more

I took this fantastic tour of the Embera Village with My Friend Mario Tours and had the most wonderful, fun time I have ever had. We started at the Gatun Locks to see the FIRST Wonder of the Modern World - very impressive and aweinspiring. Then we went by bus and canoe to the Village. I couldn´t believe my eyes... more
