Maybe the best $2 I have ever spent was for the ride on the steam train at Tilden Park. Of course its for kids but our train was about 50-50 kids and adults and the adults were having as much fun as the kids. It was pure fun from start to finish, just a simple train ride around a beautiful... more

Tilden Park has mutliple fun places in it that are all reasonably priced. There is a historic Merry Go Round, Steam Trains, a petting zoo, and a lake. The Tilden Park Merry Go Round puts on a Christmas show which is amazing. It is old time fun, which makes sense given it is the Merry Go Round, and it beautiful. There is no admission charge and rides are $1. Santa visits on Mondays. It starts the day after thanksgiving and runs through December 23rd. It is open 5:30... more

My Grandparents live very close to Tilden Park. Whenever my family goes up to visit them from Los Angles, we always ask to go to Tilden.
