While here on a work/play trip we took our shar-pei "Myrtle" down to the beach on a june sunday evening; parking was ok as we got there at the 'changing of the guard' time - day trippers leaving, evening walkers coming in, around 6:30p.m. - but you probably will have to hang around while someone backs out & leaves from... more

This dog beach is probably the best one in the state of California. It is off-leash which means your dog can run up and down the beach. I would advise going on WEEKDAYS rather than weekends as it is more crowded and parking will be congested. more
