We spent full day there and had just the best time! Our guide, Ira, was fabulous and took really good care of our group. No queuing, a really good tour and lots of extra bits of info made the VIP tour totally worth the ticket price and it includes valet parking and lunch! If (when!) we go back to California... more

I booked the tickets as part of my movie-crazy daughter's birthday present. Although they seemed a little bit pricey at the outset, after our wonderful day at the studios, it was worth every penny. Our tour guide for the day - Shawn - was knowledgeable and he made the day fun for everyone. We saw a lot, including a visit... more

Wow, I was quite excited about going to Universal Studios as I had heard alot about it, we arrive in Santa Monica on the Sunday night and were going to Universal on the Monday, the GPS said it was only 10 minutes away, of course it took us a little longer - rush hour Monday morning in LA. We arrived... more

We got to Universal early-ish, just after it opened, to make a full day of it, i don't know if a half-a day would be enough? The drive there was very easy, we were offered a coach trip but were glad we drove as then you're not tied to having to leave at a certain time. We paid for 'Preferrential... more

Wow!!! We are huge movie buffs and Universal was like a kid in a candy store. The whole family LOVED it from City Walk to the Tour. The Special Effects attraction is fun - and even more fun if you are adventurous to volunteer as "Actors". The family loved Simpsons - I felt nausious but that is because it is... more

Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) is still an active working studio plus theme park in one.. Many people confuse this with a true theme park or compare to Universal Studios Florida (USH). It is some of both. USH is the original park with working studios, movies being filmed at the time swhile some theme rides onsite. Smaller then USF, which is... more

I took my 8 year old daughter there Aug 6 and I made the HUGE mistake of taking her into the House of Horrors as the very first walk-thru "ride". Yes, it was a very bad, very dumb choice and once we got in there, between her screams of, well, horror, I spent most of the time scrambling to find... more

I have been to Universal Studios in Florida and liked it much better than the CA location. The rides didn’t interest me, For example, I didn’t see Shrek or watch the Simpsons, so those rides didn’t appeal to me. I thought the studio tour was lame. I suggest doing the VIP studio tour and skipping the park. It’s a better... more

We have been to Universal Studios Orlando many times. I must admit, I did not expect much of the one in California, especially after reading other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised! The Back Lot tour was really interesting. Movies were actually filmed there, unlike Orlando. As a matter of fact, while we there, a couple of television shows were being... more
