What is there not to love about the Getty? Beautiful buildings, beautiful gardens (even the trees cast beautiful shadows!), beautiful artwork laid out in a logical and intimate fashion. I loved the extra informative notes available to read in each room. My only regret was we didn't have more time! more

If you enjoy art of any kind, because they have numerous styles, this is the place to go in Los Angeles. The views from the exterior are enough to make it a worthwhile attraction. My only advice is to try to go during mid-day to avoid the traffic on the freeway and roads surrounding it. more

The Getty is like Disneyland compared to the neighborhood playground. Families, friends, singles, couples and groups all enjoy a relaxing visit for just a few hours or for all day. They have designed the most human friendly museum. Many places to rest and reflect and the garden is wonderful. Not the greatest collection, but very good. The Garden Cafe was awful- like eating at an airport- but that is very minor. Plan to spend the day. It is completely fabulous. more

The negative: crowds galore but I expected this - I did my best to ignore them. Harsh HARSH white light reflects off of all of the light colored buildings, even with dark sunglasses and a cap.
