This museum & garden is definately worth your time. The cost to tour the property is low....$15 with free parking ( compared to the $65 it costs to tour the Versace mansion). It is a little tricky to find but well worth the effort. The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that you were not allowed to... more

My wife and I went to Vizcaya recently. You should allocate about 4 hours to see the entire property if you don't want to be rushed. Vizcaya offers guided tours (some in English, some in Spanish), but it's really not worth waiting for in my opinion. If you happen to be there when one is offered, then I guess it's... more

We visited Vizcaya over labor day weekend and the only thing I have to complain about is the extreme August heat. If possible try to plan your visit during the cooler months. BRING YOUR CAMERA! While you cannot take pictures in the house (or bring backpacks, strollers or umbrellas in), you may take all the pictures you want on the... more

The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is an excellent way to step back in time to the Renaissance period and spend a few hours away from the hustle and bustle of Miami. I usually dont like going to museums but this is in fact an old house which contains a very large collection of exquisite and very rare antiques from Italy... more

This is a wonderful place to visit...a true beauty, however if you are a manual wheelchair user, make sure you have someone to push you as this is a BIG facility, both inside the house and the gardens. Unfortunately, people in wheelchairs only get to see the first floor, as there is no access to the other areas. However, because... more

If you love history, large houses, and beautiful gardens, you'll love Vizcaya! $12 Admission per adult. $9 if you are a Miami Dade Resident. The tour guide was very well versed and informative. I would suggest not going in July or August...very hot!! more

I was in South Beach for a few days in March 2008, and I saw an ad for Vizcaya in the touristy magazine in my hotel room. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I loved it! It was a much-needed break from the SoBe scene (which I do like though). Not very crowded at all, and definitely worth the... more

Unexpected find , a stately home in Florida. Vizcaya has excellent location on Biscayne Bay but is more intimate than Biltmore or Flagler's Whitehall. The European, mainly Spanish and Italian decorations, distinguish it. Gardens are also a pleasant surprise. And reasonable admission price. more

Today I start testing my gear for my trip to Kelleys Island, Ohio. So, I drove to Vizcaya museum in Miami, Fl. Admission: $12 This house was build in 1910, huge house build in time where it was no roads in the area. It was a tremendous job. Of course took years to be build. I pick this location because... more

I went here while visiting Miami and was glad I did. I was staying in downtown Miami so I took the metromover (free) over to the Govt Station stop and transfered to the Rail line ($1.50) and went 2 stops south. Easy to get to in mass transit. After you get off the train, you walk across a bridge over... more
