I've been to the Parthenon in Athens, and the experience of visiting the reproduction in Nashville is at least equal to and perhaps surpasses the original. The statue of Athena Parthenos inside is the most striking feature: the sculptor (Alan LeQuire) has done an amazing job recreating this wonder of the ancient world. The original statue has been lost (its... more

The Parthenon in Centennial Park is a really cool place to visit - the park is great for biking, walking and outdoor games. The fact that the Parthenon is the only exact replica in the world of the original one makes it worth seeing! The architecture is beautiful great for photography. Inside the Parthenon is a large gaudy statue of... more

A neat place to see-however, we were unable to go inside and view the art work. The history and building are worth visiting for the pictures. more

The Parthenon was built in 1897 as part of the Nashville Tennessee Centennial Exposition. It is an exact replica of the origional built it 490 BC in Athens Greece. The Parthenon was a temple to the Greek goddess Athena. The interesting/strange thing about the Parthenon in Nashville is that it is the only exact replica in the world! It is... more

The day we went was Monday. It is obviously closed on Monday, but none of the pamplets said any thing about being closed. Even though I didn't get inside, the outside satisfied me. The outside is huge and very detailed. It is worth going to, but not on Monday. more

I didn't do my homework to figure out that it's closed Monday...but for the 20 minutes that my friend and I spent there, just walking around the building and taking some pictures, it was well worth the stop! Definitely see it if you get a chance. more

It was a strange sight to see in the middle of an urban park but interesting just the same. We actually didn't even get to see the gallery inside but had a great time taking photos of the outside. Many statues around the area focusing on local history. Maybe this was explained inside the Parthenon but what is it doing... more

What a surprise to discover The Parthenon in Nashville. It was everything I had hoped for. A full sized replica, in perfect condition which included a statue of the goddess Athena! How beautiful! This was built over 100 years ago and was recently repaired to pristine condition. The statue of Athena is magnificent. I suggest a visit to this Nashville... more

The Parthenon is a wonderfully maintained site and certainly worth a visit. The work that was done on restoration of the statue Athena and the building was very well done. The Parthenon is located in centennial park (a Nashville city park) and the park is very well maintained and also an enjoyable place to visit. Go and see it!! more
