"Faded Splendor"-- This is the term that I would use to describe the resort. Overall, it looks like it was truly great at one time but the elements and age have begun to show, making the resort look less than desireable in some areas (the pool facility) but nonetheless still very clean, safe and comfortable. If you go strictly for... more

i am a budget minded guy and have just started to travel at a late age so i tend to pay less to travel my region (miami) more. this hotel is in the northern coast of the bahamas called cable beach. it reminded me of the buildings in williamstad, with their bright art deco colors. when i entered the room... more

We stayed at Sandyport 4/12-19/08. After a long day of flight delays and missed flights we finally arrived 4 hours later than expected and were greeted by Cameron (front desk) and Kevin (seems to do a lot of everything). Cameron was very kind and helpful. Kevin helped us to our room, pointing out important things along the way and always... more

Stayed in unit 226 23-29 Feb. Location was good for us. Quiet, very relaxing. We did not want to be around a lot of noise. Had to use a taxi or bus most of the time. The rooms could stand a little upgrading. Condos furniture was worn and dated but still adequate. Worst part was kitchen, it was well worn... more

Eerily quiet. Felt like we were deserted in some horror film. I went with 5 of my girlfriends and we left after one night. The rooms were filthy, with bugs crawling on the walls. The pull out couch had not been cleaned in years and the sheets had stains. The pool needed some major repairs, and the beach was not... more

We had initially signed up for a studio/efficiency but had to decline it upon viewing due to a presence of mold, proximity to kids' pool and worn out appearance. The front desk attendant was kind to upgrade us to a full two room suite instead of making us wait for a new studio, even though we were there early. The... more

Stayed at Sandyport during first week of December, 2007 using RCI Points. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Accomodations are good, but does need some minor work and upgrades to make the property excellent. One must remember that this is a small island which requires that almost everything has to be imported, including majority of its drinking water. So patience... more

We spent Nov. 10 - 17, 2007, at the Sandy Port Beach Resort. We used our RCI timeshare and felt it was one of our more positive RCI experiences. Although the resort can use some updates, it was very clean, and the grounds were immaculate. Local bus service is convenient and inexpensive and safe and affords the opportunity to travel... more

Having read all the reviews here, I can't really see what the negatives were. It is a quaint hotel in a stunning location within 30 seconds walk from the beach but on a private calming lagoon! It's truly a unique hotel. Yes of course the Atlantis is going to have more things to do, that's because its 10 times the... more

We spent our honeymoon at the Sandyport and it was fantastic! It was clean and comfortable. We had rain for a couple of days and we didn't mind just staying in our condo. Having a full kitchen was a great bonus! I would recommend it to anyone and have! We even went to the big fancy hotel that is so... more
