I recently completed my second stay in as many years at Hotel Mercurio in Puerto Vallarta. I would not consider any other hotel in PV. If you're looking for 5-star luxury where you must be 'properly dressed' to even pass through the lobby, then I suggest you book yourself into the local Ritz-Carlton or some similar property.
