We came to the Holiday Inn for our 5 year wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. When we notified the staff that it was our anniversary and they went out of their way to help us celebrate. Give this one a pass. We stayed here thinking we were going to get the quality and service that we expect from Holiday Inns - not so. Hit and miss service, poor organized entertainment, bland food, broken games in games room, beach is poor and water dirty, high pressure time-share sales in the lobby (watch out!). more

I read all these good reviews of this hotel before I booked it thinking that I too would have a good experience. I was wrong. This was our first all inclusive and first trip to Mexico. We were very pleased with our hotel (some guests complained) but for us the price was right as was the hotel. I was not impressed with this hotel. It was just okay. The first room that we got was 828 and the bathroom ceiling would pour water through it from the light. I called the desk and 1-1/2 hours later the maintence guy came and said its probably from the people upstairs using their tub. The maid came in and mopped.... more

Had stayed in PV many times before, but our first time at the HI. Pleasantly surprised. Would go back again! Details Rooms: We lucked out and got one of the end rooms in the hotel section. As a travel agent I have stayed at all types of hotels in all different locals.I used to live in vallarta so I know it well. Was always unsure of the holiday inn but....
