The Royal Mayan is the 2nd oldest in the hotel zone but it's within the complex of all 3 royals - the islanders, carribean and mayan, so you can use all the facilities without having to take the bus anywhere.... more

We booked our vacation using Interval World's website. IW's site rates the Royal Mayan as a five star resort, but most other websites only rate it at a 3.5. Just returned from a week with my parents in their time-share there and I was somewhat disappointed with my stay at this property. This was our first trip to Cancun we went with 6 others. Thomas More picked us up at the airport and was prompt. We used also them to book some of ours tours and other outings during our 10 days.
