This was a nice clean hotel, however when we got to the hotel they were un aware of our arrival, apparently orbitz had not communicated with the hotel about us staying there. Seeing as how the reviews helped us out with picking this place, I will write one as well. We were on our honeymoon and first of all, the Grill Restaurant was AMAZING! My husband and I stayed at the resort August 16-20. We booked with Funjet so Lomas travel was responsible for our transfers. They treated us like VIP guests by suprizing us by taking us to the resort in a Lincoln Navigator stretch limo!! Talk about the right way to enter the resort!! We stayed for 8 days at the Excellence Resort. and have to say this was the best resort we have stayed at yet. The grounds were immaculate, the pools were large and super clean. When we arrived the hotel was only about 25% capacity so you could sit anywhere and be pretty much alone. Just before we left many more... more

I visited the Excellence for a long peaceful Easter weekend. . . and I went alone. It was the best vacation EVER!!!! This resort is absolutely amazing. It has 5 pools. The people that work there are great, and the food is amazing. With 8 restraunts to choose from, and all the food (except the italian restraunt) was amazing. The Grill for lunch and the Mediteranean for breakfast is a must. The Mediteranean was definately are favorite, even over the Lobster house.... more

We spent a week at Play Mujeres and can't rave enough about this resort! We stayed ina 2 story rooftop room and it's unbelievable and worth the money! Its relaxing and private for the most part(5 story are more private) to enjoy time together with a room service lunch or cocktails. You can request an umbrella if its too hot... more
