Reasonable hotel, great pub across the road. Beds a bit uncomfortable. more
Hotel was adequate but far too far outside of Quebec City centre at least 8km 5 miles and on a dual carriage. Apart a few chain restaurants, other hotels and various office blocks, there really is nothing around. Buses to the city centre are only every half an hour. We stayed in 3 different rooms on 3 different floors as... more
The first night we were scheduled to stay there, the Hotel was full and did not have a room for us, even though we had a confirmed booking a week before. They then sent us to another Hotel half an a hour away from Quebec city. When we got back there the following night, the hotel and service were subpar.... more
We chose to stay in Ste. Foy because we were going to the Quebec Air Show and it's fairly close to the airport. Hotwire assigned us to this hotel, and I was a bit apprehensive due the most recent review. But for the 2 nights we (my husband, our young child, and me) were there, it was okay. I am going to this city again for a Karate Tournament. We stayed in this hotel last year, it was a great price that ended up coming later with a large price tag. My son has permanent scars from little bites he received in our hotel room. The rooms may look clean but the signs are elsewhere. Take my advise...there... more
The room was clean, staff nice, free parking. the only problem is the distance from old city, but if you are by car there is no problem. We really didn't have problems here. Just one advise: don't make phone calls from the hotel - they are very expensive. more
I stayed here for 4 nights. The room was clean, the TV was a good size with a clear picture, and I had no problem accessing my balcony . From my room I had a nice view of the area, including the restaurants on the street. It's an easy drive from the hotel straight down the street to Old Quebec,... more
The Gouverneur hotel was a basic hotel located about a twenty minute drive from Quebec City. Our room had two double beds and a small four piece bathroom. The room had not been updated in many years and could have used a fresh coat of paint, new bedspreads, carpeting, and linens. The hotel offered a swimming pool and limited exercise... more
Like the other reviewer, I thought I was getting a great deal booking at this hotel: through a professional membership we got a pay two nights, get the third one free deal. Just remember what your mother told you, there is no such thing as a free lunch. First this hotel is awkwardly located far far away, in practically a... more
We booked because of the price.$98 a night for three nights. Check in was smooth although we had to wait an hour for the room to be cleaned. While we waited we decided to sit in the pool area and have lunch and a beer. We were totally ignored by the servers ; they were closing this serving area. Perhaps... more
