I lived in Saskatoon for 5 years while going to University, and always admired the Bess. I returned the year I convocated to do some Christmas shopping, and decided to splurge and finally stay overnight. I was surprised to find that I qualified for a discount, (CAA?, workplace? I don't remember) and ended up spending a little over $100.00. I... more

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Fantastic location - right downtown. Comfortable bed. However, the "fabric" was badly worn - stained carpet, chipped paint, worn furniture in room. A bit disappointing for the price. Historic hotel, but needs some refreshing. more

We have stayed here several times this summer. It is a pet friendly location. I also like the Bess as they have security on site 24/7. The service in the dining rooms is excellent. The Samari is a bit pricey but there is no other amenity like this one in Saskatoon. The bar is part of the lobby here so... more

Charming old hotel (1930’s) with good staff but in need of upgrading and more staff. We had a standard room on the Signature floor (key access + perks) that was very well appointed but rather small. Signature rooms give you access to free continental breakfast and one internet station in a private reading room. The grounds are very well kept... more

The building is great, the location is great, and the views are particularly pleasant (at least in summer). The few staff holding down the fort were pleasant. The room was less of an antique than a relic of better times gone by, but everything was clean and everything worked. Free broadband was a big plus; the remarkably uncomfortable mattress was... more

A friend of ours stayed at this hotel a few years ago and highly recommended the property but she forewarned us that while laying in bed in the middle of the night, she saw lights flashing around the ceiling. She knew her room was too high for it to be car lights and she could not find another cause for... more

We’ve been Bessborough guests a number of times over the years and our experiences have been mostly positive. As others have noted, the building is impressive both from the outside and the inside. A first time guest is also likely to be impressed by the lobby, and the spacious and nicely decorated hallways. Rooms in this hotel vary widely in... more

The palatial Bessborough is one of the many grand railway hotels built across Canada in the early decades of the 20th century. Located next to the riverfront, this hotel is within walking distance of just about everything in downtown Saskatoon. This property appears to have a happy and motivated staff, as I was greeted with eye contact, a smile and... more

I stayed at the Delta Bessborough for a two night stay on a business trip. It's a beautiful, old, historic hotel which has retained its elegance and many of its original features. I particularly enjoyed all the pictures of the hotel being built. It really made the hotel seemed special and historic. Location: Centrally located in Saskatoon's downtown. Right along... more

I liked this hotel. It's an older (1930s) hotel with some nice design features and a few different-shaped rooms. Completely modern but with the occasional interesting quirks. I stayed on the Signature 6th floor, which I think means free internet and access to the mezzanine signature lounge. The lounge has a very nice free (cold) breakfast as well as some... more
