Traveling with work and staying in London is a challenge, rates are so high and hotels take every advantage to hike the prices! The Montcalm was worryingly close to a main road but turned out to be pretty quiet even with a window open at night. VERY helpful concierge and check in staff. Food was ok, I had room service... more

Got a great price for the Montcalm Hotel and when we arrived I was impressed with the location and had a good overall impression of the hotel. However, the room STANK of smoke (even though the hotel is now non-smoking) and when I complained nothing was done about it. The bed was huge (which was a plus) but too small... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night in May 2007. We were looking for a reasonably-priced good quality hotel near Hyde Park so that we could walk around a bit during the afternoon. The Montcalm Nikko did not disappoint. The room was not large, but it was perfectly clean and just fine for our needs. The location was great... more

Although we were a bit apprehensive from the lobby, which had a slightly musty, shabby-genteel feel, we were absolutely delighted by our room. My wife and I stayed in early June on our first visit to London, having chosen the hotel mainly based on TripAdvisor research and it exceeded all our expectations. Our room was spacious, very well appointed and... more

We stayed at The Montcalm for 3 nights on the weekend of the 23/06. We were able to get a 'top secret deal' as previously mentioned in another review. We were given room 114 which was a great size and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Housekeeping was very prompt when we requested an iron and ironing board... more

Booked this hotel for a one night stay, via the internet and got a good deal, but it seems the bargain hunters get put in the smallest rooms.... Shoebox sized, but clean and well appointed, the only problem was the complete lack of any view from the window (faced a building at the back of the hotel) and the noise... more

We stayed here for 4 nights in May 2007, having picked it after working our way through many reviews on TripAdvisor. I booked through Superbreak and got a reasonable (but not cheap) rate including full English breakfast. The location is excellent, such a nice, quiet crescent with a little tree-lined space in front (with a moving Jewish monument, very appropraite... more

After trying a number of hotels in London we decided to give the Montcalm a try after reading some very positive reviews on this website. We found a very good 'not so top secret' deal on a well known website which meant we were paying under £100 a room. The hotel is in a great location (literally just down the... more

The Location was perfect, London Bus tour starts there. Located on oxford street. The hotel has a japaneese touch to it. Breakfast was boring, the service was great. Staff, room, service and the ambience is good. London hotels being very expensive. Montcalm is a safe bet. more
