I booked this hotel as part of a surprise 40th birthday present for my fiance. We were not disappointed as it is lovely. The staff were friendly, polite & helpful. The room was spacious, clean and had some very nice touches such as an ipod docking station, lots of reading material, very nice toiletries (including a rubber duck by the... more

Booked at the last minute as a suprise for my partner to celebrate good news & the guy on the 'phone said they could do something special. When I've previously stayed at One Aldwych we've been given a cake on my birthday or an upgrade. Nothing was provided at Threadneedles which is much emptier at the weekend. No major problems... more

Our stay here was out of this world and felt very special. Everything was absolutely perfect - the room was amazing and the staff were really lovely. The Power Breakfast was delicious. Top marks all round! Definitely recommend it. more

sometimes it's very nice to go on holiday 30mins from where you live, no hassle with airports or long car journeys, just an overnight romantic get away. threadneedles may be in the city, which is, granted, a little quiet over the weekend, but why not do what we did. a pre-dinner cocktail on the roof top of the coq d'argent... more

We stayed four nights in this hotel and found it to be well located, and very welcoming. All the staff were very helpful, no matter what our requests. The room was spacious, quiet and light, and the bathroom was very big. However, it was annoying to have to pay for breakfasts and internet access on top of a high room... more

Stayed at Threadneedles for a week in August. Like other reviewers have said, if you are looking for a bustling area on the weekend, this is not the place. The streets/restaurants surrounding the hotel are quite literally bare on Saturday & Sunday. The Bank tube station is nearby, so getting somewhere to eat besides room service is fairly easy on... more

Excellent hotel. Stayed only one night arriving late. Rooms are clean, and smartly appointed. Very stylish. Service was excellent. Voltage converters sent right up to the room. Only draw back is that the rooms are a bit dark. Excellent hotel for the business traveler; it is five stars. Very convenient to law firm of White & Case. more

Stayed in the Threadneedles Hotel again and was as impressed as the first time I stayed. Brilliantly clean and well maintained it was a joy to kick back and just enjoy the room. Ate Dinner in the Bonds restaurant - great food and service. Breakfast was similarly good. Like all hotels in a commercial London district it has great weekend... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at Threadneedles for a romantic weekend in the City. The hotel is tucked away in Threadneedle Street, opposite the Bank of England in the ancient Square Mile of the City of London. The interior is stuning - highlight being a large dome of stained glass in the plush foyer. As imagined, the hotel was quiet... more

This hotel was super chic. It's right in the heart of the best attractions, but on small side street, that's out of the way. The reception was warm and friendly, and were happy to meet all your expectations. The room was lavish and sexy. Perfect for my first time in London, as a New Yorker. Perfect ! A great getaway. more
