This hotel has the worst mattresses I've ever encountered. Ever. Think children's summer camp. Maybe even worse than that. You can push your hands through the mattresses all the way to the bottom, and they're super-springy. Save your money and stay somewhere else. more

Booked via the Hilton Group website it appears this hotel has now come under their ownership and is due to be rebranded in the next month. Looking at some previous reviews perhaps they've already sacked the rude unhelpful staff? From the moment we entered the hotel staff were friendly and gracious. The doorman, concierge and reception staff were all charming.... more

This hotel is well-located for shopping in Regent and Carnaby Street as well as proximity to Buckingham Palace, Bond Street and a variety of shows and restaurants. Our room was wonderful, though the view was not, and their is a lively bar featuring old jail cells from the time when this building held the magistrates courts. We did not eat... more

Just returned from a weekend at the Courthouse and am pleased to say it was absolutely perfect. I booked with Lastminute.com and it was a ‘top secret’ hotel so I couldn’t check the reviews before booking. After reading some of the reviews on here I was quite worried about what we would get. I guess we were simply lucky because... more

On checking in, the receptionists laughed at my Lastminute.com booking and generally treated me like low-grade scum! My room had the noisiest airconditioning, so I was eventually moved to another room (which took 2 hours to be made up) and which ended up to have equally noisy airconditioning, which could not be turned off. The pool was really tiny, and... more

Booked hotel room through Lastminute.com, and chose hotel because of 5 star rating, central London location and spa/gymn facilities. Very disappointed with overall stay. Room was average, with small faults incongruous with 5 star rating (e.g. some stains on carpets, chipped bathroom tiles, flies permenantly in the room). However, more disappointing was the service which was lacklustre and at times... more

Having heard of the kempinski brand before, I was quite excited about my stay. Alas, it can only be described as a disaster, made all the more poignant by the fact that the room was ridiculously expensive. It started with the hotel reception and personnel who - while not rude - were certainly very indifferent. Upon checking into my room... more

Booked again through lastminute.com Check in was very efficient and we were upgraded free of charge. The staff were very polite and helpful. The room was lovely, spacious with a large bathroom. Outside the hotel is Liberties and Carnaby Street, with Oxford Street and all the other West end attractions on your doorstep. This hotel is famous because it was... more
