Stayed one night as part of a group booking and was relatively happy with the room etc. I had a single room on the 4th floor of the new section which was fine, though tight for space with nowhere apart from the desk to put luggage if you wanted it higher than the floor. Breakfast was adequate - the staff... more

A second work visit to stafford had me checking in to the hotel for the second time in as many months and as i was given a very different room this time, I thought it was worth sharing it with other trip advisor members. Everything I said about the staff last visit is still true - they are lovely, every... more

Stayed here at the back end of January 2008. I really don't like to complain about hotels that are at the budget end of the market, I do believe that you get what you pay for. I paid £70 for a night - B and B. The hotel is in an area of Stafford that could almost be described as... more

We have stopped here several times but this was not our best visit. The hotel boasts a 24 hr service, reception and food 24 hrs a day. We went out on the Friday and returned late (visiting our son in Stafford) taxi takes us to hotel at 2.30 am and door was locked and no one was on reception. We... more

I stayed here recently while in Stafford on business. The room was old, very dirty and in need of refurbishment. The bar food was ok, but the breakfast was terrible, swimming in grease. The cost of a cup of INSTANT decaf coffee was £2.05. Apart from the fact that the hotel was available, there were very few redeeming features. Thumbs... more

You never really know what to expect with Best Western but this hotel is certainly better than most. There is a large car park, a light reception and spacious clean rooms. The restaurant was fine for a quick meal and the staff very friendly. The only thing that lets it down badly is the swimming pool area which could do... more

Once again Expotel has waved its magic wand and sent me to a hotel for work. Being a skeptic, it worried me that the rate for bed and breakfast was £60 (single room). £60! With London rates what they are, and our budget being £80/night, I was scared as to the quality of the hotel I was going to get.... more

I have stayed here a few times when the better hotels in the town were fully booked. It is a little bit shabby and the staff are not the most helpful. What eally lets it down though is the restaurant, the food is truly awful and I would advise anyone staying hereto go into the town centre to eat. more

Booked this hotel because I was told it was the best hotel in Stafford. Warm greeting on arrival, but then let down by the room - 4 channels on the TV (and no remote control), dangerous broken chair, and mould in the bathroom. Corridors are noisy, and the shower was uncomfortable (either pin sharp spray jets or very weak trickle).... more

Well, Bless them they tried...... Tried our patience that is, I was horrified by every aspect of our stay and cannot even say that there was one aspect that redeemed it. The Bedroom was dirty and cramp. Infact I'm sure it was a single with a double bed thrown in, the making of the bed was shoddy and poor and... more
