My daughter was married at Dalhousie Castle on 22 November and had an absolutely perfect day. I must admit I had one or two doubts after reading some negative comments on trip advisor but they were totally unfounded. We arrived on Friday to a lovely spacious themed room. In the afternoon I spent time in the spa with my two... more

My husband and I stayed here one night of our belated honeymoon trip to Scotland. The exterior of the castle and the grounds are beautiful. There is a falconry on site with falcons, hawks and owls. You can pay extra to have a personal experience, or you can just walk down and see the birds and talk to the friendly... more

Stayed two night in Sept. Castle itself is very nice and the highlight of our stay was our "historic tour" with Peter one of the porters. He was charming and we really enjoyed hearing about the history of the castle. The dungeon dining was very nice as well. However, the price paid for a stay was way too much for... more

We stayed at Dalhousie for two days in September 2008. Due to the VERY high price to stay in the castle itself, we stayed in "The Lodge". Reception was a bit disorganized and not very helpful in finding "The Lodge" on the property. They also offered no help with luggage (and this is a 5-star place?) There is only room... more

We went to a wedding at Dalhousie Castle and it was the most beautiful venue I've been to. I really couldn't find fault with anything! We stayed in the Sir Walter Scott themed room which was lovely - v grand! I'm 8 months pregnant and the staff couldn't do enough to help - eg. the room was very warm and... more

We married at Dalhousie this July and have mixed reviews on Dalhousie Castle, although it was still a wonderful wonderful day! I'll start with the not so good stuff: In the run-up to the wedding we went on two occasions to see the castle and just get a feel for things. Mostly the service was okay but I was always... more

Stayed at Dalhousie as part of a wedding party. The castle was lovely and our stay and the wedding fantastic. I have a couple of criticisms however; firstly I was surprised to see mildew all round the baths in a couple of the rooms (all it takes to remove this is a 5 minute dousing with bleach). I was told... more

We stayed in the castle for my sister's wedding. The castle itself is absolutely gorgeous with stunning scenery. The room we stayed in could have been better for the money. We ended up having the disabled room which if you were in a wheel chair you would still have struggled. The bathroom was massive with a good shower within the... more

Myself and my husband stayed 2 nights at Dalhousie on our honeymoon. Rooms are really pricey, and so we had a standard room, which was really lovely; clean, well decorated; nice bathroom and lovely view. The highlight was the Dungeon Restaurant, the food was wonderful, service great. Another highlight was the brilliant gent who gave us (and another couple) an... more

A large group of us are just back from a weekend at Dalhousie Castle and had a wonderful stay. From the friendly and helpful staff to the Castle and surroundings, we loved every minute. The SPA is a treat and offers a great selection of pampering packages. The Library Bar, Dungeon Restuarant and The Orangery are all lovely locations to... more
