This is a wonderful property outside of the noise of Dublin. It is right on the seaside close to the fishing town of Howth. If you're looking for an hotel with great links to Dublin City but without noise and 'coldness' of a city hotel this is it. The staff are friendly and attentive. The hotel is clean and homely and the food is good. Ask for a room with a view of the sea and you'll get great views of Dublin Bay. more

Stayed here while down for rugby match in Croke park in Feb. Decided to try an out of town hotel for a change. The Marine Hotel was convenient for DART and we had good meals in the hotel and at Chinese opposite. Bar and reception staff were helpful and pleasant. The Marine is a moderately large hotel in Sutton, which is about a 15-minute ride (or thereabouts) on the DART from Dublin city centre. I loved this hotel. It's nothing fancy, but it's neat, clean and looks reasonably up to date. The rooms were a reasonable size, the beds were quite stiff but still comfortable.
