This hotel is lovely! The lobby is sumptuous; the location is perfect, our room was huge and spacious. The staff was very helpful and we managed to communicate with a bit of effort on their part and ours. The cost of food and services was out of our league, but there is a supermarket across the street which we utilized... more

I decided to stay at the hotel due to its location, about 200 metres from the Arc d' Triomph and near to the Champs Elysee. However the hotel is very overpriced!! We paid 16 Euro for 2 cups of tea, in the hotel bar. The chambremaid did not make up our room on one of the days, and our bath... more

I didn't discover that the hotel was about to close until a few days before our departure. I decided to keep the reservation, which I booked directly through the hotel and this turned out to be a mistake. The hotel was depressing, the room looked nothing like it did on their website. We booked a superior room which was one... more

The hotel was recommended by expedia as a 5 star hotel. I personally would say that it is really a 4 star hotel. I had a good stay here and there is nothing wrong with the hotel. It just didn't have that bit extra that makes it a 5 star hotel. One piece of advise, never eat on the Champes... more

The hotel is the height of oppulance. It has a great location and one of the few hotels in the centre of Paris with an indoor pool. The decor is as expected very Parisian with chandaliers and some beautiful touches.BUT boy is it expensive. Now value for money wise the hotel is a rip off ,nice, but panders to the excessively rich.Service... more

We have just got back from a fantastic three nights at the Royal Monceau. I was concerned after reading some of the reviews on here that the hotel would not live up to my expectations, however my fears were unfounded. Our room was a little on the small side, however there was plenty of storage space and big window looking... more

We arrived for our stay at the Hotel as a treat for my 40th Birthday, I was all for booking a hotel that was clean but basically a place to sleep and no more, but my wife convinced me we should splash out and get a bit of luxury so we opted for the Royal Monceau after seeing the website.... more

Stayed at the Royal Monceau for three nights with my husband over Valentines. Booked through the Eurostar website. Having read previous reviews realised that some of the extras were likely to be expensive, so we were careful. Greeting was very good. Doormen always there to open doors, bid you good day and were always very courteous and friendly. Reception staff... more

Arriving on the thursday of my stay i had great hopes and expectations for this hotel. After reading so many great reviews on this web site i was expecting it to be a well earned relaxing weekend. I was anything but. At check in they would accept my maestro card as a deposit on the room - even though i... more

The Hotel Royal Monceau is a grand hotel in a very good location. It has large rooms and grand public spaces. The glory is faded however and our room had an unpleasant smell which wasn't sickening but did make me want to open the window. Fortunately our window looked out to the pleasant courtyard with no traffic noise whatever. The... more
