Me and my wife (we are early thirties, late twenties) stayed here for three nights at the end of February 2008. This small and quiet hotel is located in a quiet street , just of the Rue Lafayette. The location is very good, a short walk to the Cadet metro station, and walking distance to both Galeries Lafayette and the... more

Excellent location near to the Eurostar station (10min walk). One stop from the Stade de France. Rooms clean but quite small. My room 407 at the rear of the block, very dark. Bathroom new, small bath, no hook for shower. Small Flat screen TV showing local channels plus CNN and BBC. Good reception welcome, local info and map given. I'd... more

Our experience with the staff was far different than other posts. The day staff was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The gentleman who staffed in the evening was not so but he also had very limited English. They did have some problems with the lift while we were there otherwise the value, location and cleanliness were appreciated. They very willingly... more

Hotel Anjou Lafayette Stayed here for 6 nights with my husband. We had been at another hotel for a couple of nights and then on a 3 night tour, the Anjou was very good about letting us leave a bag there for the tour before we had actually checked in. As our travel agent had said when she recommended it.... more

I agree with past reviews as to the uncaring hotel staff. While the owner and daughter were pleasant, the rest of the staff was not helpful and even rude. My sister suffered some knee problems and had an impossible time trying to get a bag of ice. The hotel staff needs to learn a thing or two about customer service.... more

We stayed in this hotel for a week in August 2005 and we were very pleased with it. We chose it because of its price and its location but the website did say there was air conditioning in every room which is not true as we found out to our cost in a very hot August. Getting around Paris from... more

I have just returned from a weekend-break in Paris with my boyfriend. We booked the Anjou Lafayette in the mistaken belief that we would be provided with a comfortable and reliable room, being as it was part of the "Best Western" chain. 2 months before our trip my boyfriend booked our room. He was quoted "Best rates" which was a... more

A generally adequate small 3* Parisian hotel, the Anjou Lafayette has to possess about the lousiest reception staff it would be possible to imagine anywhere in the hospitality industry. Having made a specific reservation for two Superior King bedded rooms via email to the hotel (with email confirmation from them that everything was taken care of), a succession of staff... more

I had a horrible experience at the Best Western Lafayette Anjou. The hotel is in a perfect location close to two metro stops and my room--number 601--was lovely. But the hotel staff was unpleasant, to say the least. Firstly, my friend and his girlfriend had booked a package on Eurostar. So their room was included in their package. My friend... more
