Spent a fantastic 5 nights at the Emperador Hotel and found the whole experience lived up to the pictures on the website. The room, although a standard room, was spacious and spotlessly clean and ,thanks to the air conditioning very cool. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Only complaint would be to provide an iron in the room as the... more

This is an average hotel with 2 redeeming factors which are both enough to recommend a stay here. 1 is the location, right on the Gran Via, as central as you can be. 2 is the fab rooftop pool and bar area. Rooms are a decent size and are quite nice. Not the cleanest though and the maid only makes... more

Returned this morning from a 4 night stay at the Emperador. The Hotel is a business hotel and does not have the cosy atmosphere of a holiday hotel it is functional and efficient with staff that have that city attitude however they were very helpful when needed. I didn't rate breakfast and would choose to eat out next time. The Club... more

We booked the Emperador because my mom lives a block from there but couldn't accomodate our two families. So we obviously know the area extremely well, and being in August, we thought the kids would enjoy the rooftop pool in 40C weather (good thing we did, because there was a heat wave the day we arrived). The A/C actually works... more

The pool is huge for a roof top one, the water refreshing, and the complimentary gin & tonics in the Emerador Club room were even more refreshing. Apparently during are stay, the Club rooms location was temporary, but on the day of departure, it was returned to it's usual place, which included a bar with beer tap, as well as... more

For the price this has to be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. We booked a club room for a romantic weekend, and were almost reassured by the fact it was so expensive (about €720 including taxes for 3 nights breakfast not included!) as we were after luxury and relaxation. Our room was horrible. It was much much smaller... more

This hotel is great. A true 4* with all amenities. We didn't stay in a Club Room as we were weren't planning on being in the hotel that much and wanted to eat / drink in Madrid not in the hotel so didn't think we would get the value. Our rooms (2 doubles) were small but clean and the bathrooms... more

We had two club rooms for 7 people and they are quite big and comfortable. Good beds, very clean. They give access to the "Club E" which is basically a nothing room with free drinks. What makes the hotel in summer is the rooftop pool. The pool is full size, has great views, extremely comfortable lounges and is also a... more

I booked the room in april / may, cause I like the location and thought the rooms looks okay and it was a plus with the roof garden/pool. Arrived late, the room was ready, but the service at the desk was - sorry my "french" so damm snobby, that I was about to turn around and walk out again. But... more

I stayed at the Emperador Hotel for 3 nights on the 22nd August. This was my fifth trip to Madrid in 5 years and the hotel was simply the best I've stayed in based on location and the roof top pool. The bedrooms were simple but perfectly clean and adequate but the most engaging feature of the Emperador is the... more
