We booked this hotel based on ratings on this site for the last few nights of a honeymoon trip, looking for a non-chain experience. Challis Avenue is the most beautiful Avenue in Sydney - lined with historic buildings and excellent cafes as well. It was a pleasant bonus to live at Simpsons Hotel for a week. This heritage hotel is located in a trendy area within easy walking distance of waterside restaurants, the Botanical Gardens and the Opera House etc. Breakfast is served in the Conservatory and the bedrooms are furnished in keeping with the period.
