How do you write a review of the absolutely perfect place to stay?! Since we stayed with John and Paulette at their lovely home last year, Stonehaven has become our benchmark for what a B&B should be. We were blown away by the warmth of our welcome . . . we felt like we were being welcomed into the home... more

This is a wonderful B&B that I strongly recommend. If you're looking for a beautiful, quiet setting away from the noises of town, this is your place. Stonehaven is surrounded by grape vines and set far back from a small country road a few kilometers from Blenheim. We had arranged to have dinner but were running late. Fortunately, we were... more

This is a truly wonderful place. I've travelled extensively and I'm not prone to overstatement (blame my English reserve) but our stay with John and Paulette was a highlight of our superb 3-week trip to New Zealand. They are incredibly helpful, enormously knowledgable (what John doesn't know about the local moon-shine isn't worth knowing), unfailingly cheerful and all-round marvellous people.... more

Stonehaven is a little piece of heaven. I stayed here for 2 nights, in the twin room. John and Paulette are great, really good company and fantastic hosts. The house itself is fantastic, really beautiful and the views around the house are spectacular. It is perfectly situated to visit Blenheim, the wineries, Nelson and Picton. Breakfast was just amazing, i... more

My wife and I stayed with our daughter at Stonehaven on a last minute booking as we had an extra night that became free on our travels through NZ in Mar07. The hosts John and Paulette were brilliant. They gave us an outstanding welcome, including laying out all the wine grapes grown in the area for us to see. Their... more

THANK YOU to all of you who steered us to this off-the-beaten-path gem! John and Paulette greated us warmly upon our arrival making sure to let us know that the Stonehaven is a... more

Without a shadow of a doubt the best welcome and the best of everything was had in Stonehaven Homestay. I am surprised that anyone can get a... more

We stayed with John and Paulette for two nights in February and would like to reassure anyone researching accommodation in Blenheim that they will not be disappointed if they chose Stonehaven. I knew by the letters and advice I received from Paulette before our stay that we were going to love it and we were not disappointed. We agree with... more

From Pat and Roy Terry, Bishops Waltham Hampshire. We stayed at Stonehaven on February 22nd/23rd 2008 and we had a great welcome from Paulette and John and were delighted with the accommodation set in the midst of Blenheim Vineyards. Our room was extremely comfortable with wonderfull views across the Vineyard. Breakfast was sumptious with a wide choice of dishes from... more

As soon as we arrived at Stonehaven and received a very warm welcome from John and Paulette we knew we had found a little gem. We were invited to make full use of their beautiful home of which included a secluded swimming pool surrounded by wonderful gardens. The accommodation was first class with very comfortable beds and beautiful bedding. Paulette's... more
