Had 1 night here and wish we had had time for more. Based on the Otago Peninsula, 30 minutes from Dunedin, the only castle in New Zealand - absolutely outstanding. The Location: Approximately 30 minutes drive from central Dunedin. There are 3 roads which provide access to the castle... try to take the only one which is not a single lane, hair-pin infested goat track (even though these 2 roads are quite picturesque) - check with the tourist information centre in Dunedin.
