My family spent three nights at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located at the town centre and there are many restaurants within 5 minutes walk away from the hotel. The lake is only 1 minute away. Apart from the great location, there are areas that this hotel has to work on. We were assigned a room that was facing... more

We stayed at the Novotel Queenstown during a two-week tour of the South Island. It was one of the larger hotels at which we stayed. It has a great location, right downtown, and although we opted not to pay extra for the lake view we could still see the lake from our balcony. The rooms are clean and well appointed.... more

My wife and I booked a lakeview room and upon arrival, we were offered an upgrade to the only suite in the hotel. Whilst the suite upgrade wasn't cheap, it was made really worthwhile because we also got a 2 free ski VIP lift passes for the days that we had the suite. The upgrade was worth it just on... more

My husband and i stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in July, when we were there for some skiing. This was our second time in Queenstown on this trip, and after making a little trip up to Wanaka, and then to the Tasman Glacier, we decided that when we returned to Queenstown, we would stay at the Novotel because... more

Novotel was our base for 6 nights in Queenstown. We were there in July for Snowboarding. The hotel itself is fantastic. It has all of the facilities you need and would expect at a well known hotel. We were upgraded to a Gondala view room located on the 4th floor overlooking the rose garden. The room itself was very clean... more

We stayed here at the end of Winter, so the whole town and hotel was crawling with young ski tourists, the winter equivalent of Spring Break. The lobby was so loud and chaotic with travel booths set up all around, like a bustling expo or convention with brochures everywhere. Then, the receptionist Jean Francois was the snottiest person we've ever... more

Unfortunately having had noisy experiences at a previous hotel, we really wanted our stay at the Novotel to be somewhere we could regain back some rest and enjoy our time in Queenstown. We were happy with the room we were given, and it was clean and well serviced each day, and the staff were very helpful in all areas but... more

We stayed at the Novotel for one night on Sat 6/9, two adults and two children. Whilst the room had a lovely view over the lake that was about the only good thing. Sadly by the time we added our luggage (3 bags of it), 2 adults and 2 children into a room which is supposed to be fit for... more

We stayed here for 10 nights and despite the hotel's makeover, it is still a very average establishment, in my opinion. I have stayed and managed conferences in many Accor establishments. When we checked-in with our 3 big bags (filled with ski gear and winter clothes), there was no staff on hand to assist us as we lugged it from... more

Great location - walking distance for shops and tourist attraction transfers. Nice clean and tidy rooms, however had to jump over the couch to get onto the balcony. Nice view of lake, especially when we woke up one morning and it was snowing. Would stay there again! more
