We stayed at Peppers Beacon for 3 days as a family with a set of grandparents, a set of parents, and a three year old. The two bedroom apartment setup was perfect for our family, especially when the helpful staff set up a rollaway bed in one of the bedrooms for the child. It was a tight squeeze with the... more

We stayed at Peppers Beacon for 3 nights, primarily because of the proximity to the town centre, the views and the broadband access. If you are used to the high standard of Peppers Retreats and Resorts throughout NZ & Australia, this accomodation is NOT for you. Like most accommodation in Queenstown, Peppers is overpriced. However, $12NZD per hour for internet... more

Was booked into the Breakfree Waterfront for two nights, in a three bedroom apartment to accomodate myself and three sisters. Upon arrival was advised that there was a leak in the roof and would have to have a two bedder. As I was not to impressed by this, I was sent to there sister hotel, Peppers Beaon. Although a little... more

We booked our holiday 3 months in advance through flight centre and were lucky enough to recieve the services of a truly fantastic travel agent. Although we originally wished to stay at another hotel, the Pepper's Beacon did not disappoint! The room was spacious, modern and clean. All the reception staff were extremely polite, friendly and knowledgable. The room we... more

i was prompted to add a review after reading the negative experiences - i have to disagree! we loved this hotel and would definitely return. on arrival, it didnt look all that impressive - the reception area is extremely modest (but who spends much time in reception anyway?) and i agree the overall layout of the place was disconcerting at... more

I am prompted to write this review, after seeing many negative comments about this hotel. We had a wonderful time staying at "Peppers" and were treated very well, and the accommodation was superb. The Lake view apartment was awesome, and lead to a thoroughly relaxing stay. The location is excellent - a short stroll into town ( all flat) means... more

We chose Peppers largely due to the experience we previously had with their other properties when we travelled in Australia. Our room was in the rear wing which we had to take a lift up to the courtyard on the 5th floor, cross it and take another lift to the floor we were staying on - the design of which... more

We've stayed in a number of other peppers hotels both in NZ and Aus and were really looking forward to our stay (expecting the usual peppers quality, luxury and service) but were hugely disappointed. We booked a 2 night stay in a hotel room and were very tempted to pack up our bags and leave after the first night... 1.... more

I’m amazed this hotel can state they are a “luxury” hotel because our experience was anything but! I was very upset because I’ve stayed in Super 8 and Travelodge motels that were of higher quality in accommodations and helpful staff…literally. I do not think I’ve stayed anywhere with such poor customer service, small rooms, and lack of pride in cleanliness.... more
