It is in a residential area, but it is only 100 metres walk to the metro which is very easy to use. You can buy tickets at hotel reception and they were very helpful in informing me how to use it. The Hotel is supposed to be 4 star but I don't think so. The main problem is the cleaning of the room, in fact the non-cleaning of the room. The Diplomat was a great place to stay while visiting Praha. The convenience to the metro was great. Even though city center is not at your doorstep, the metro made it VERY easy to get there in no time. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast had a great variety and filled me up. We stayed here for 3 nights in September 2007. The room was very nice with everything you would need. Reception was very helpful and polite. Hotel is very close to metro station which takes you around centre of Prague. No street noise. Buffet breakfast was excellent. All in all a very pleasant hotel and we would certainly stay here again. more
