I have just got back from a 3 night stay at the Globus Hotel in Prague. For starters, photo's on the site make it look as if the hotel is located in a park. The back of it can be classed as a park/ wood but the frontage faces several large blocks of drab looking flats. Plus side of this... more

On arrival the Hotel had a mixture of scenery. One side appeared to be a housing estate, the other a beautiful forest. The hotel itself is very luxurious. The staff were very friendly and helpful once approached. One important factor when considering this hotel is that its not very close to town, nor is it easy to find without guidance.... more

The Globus is an adequate hotel, situated close by some pretty depressing municipal-style multi-storey housing blocks. The metro station is close and there are frequent trains into the city centre. First off Prague is a wonderful city, with so much to see and do, and the views are spectacular. Especially at night. We stayed at the Globus for 3 nights on the 2nd dec. It was brilliant. As other reviews have stated the actual hotel was pretty ok. Rooms were quite large ( 3 singles in ours) and clean but fairly basic , no coffee/tea making facilities or an iron/board etc..
