My sister and I have just returned from 3 night stay at the Waldstein. We had a very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast catered for all tastes. The location was ideal for walking to Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and the Old Town. Not 4 star but would not hesitate to go back there again. more

I'm writing this as I wait for my airport transport to go home. Have just spent 4 nights at this beautiful small friendly hotel Staff friendly and helpful; room spotless (had groundfloor as I requested); breakfast could not be better - and yes - I like my scrambled eggs just how they serve them. Travelling alone - left husband to... more

We had planned to visit Prague for 2 days as an excursion from our main summer holiday. We were travelling with our 2 teenage daughters so most hotel quotes were for 2 double rooms, therefore quite expensive. At the Waldstein we were offered a suite with 2 bedrooms and an ante room for the price of a double room. The... more

Lovely place, we had a room which was connected to the building next door - we had two rooms in fact and it was very much an 'old world charm' atmosphere. This isn't what you'd call 4*, so don't expect mod cons, but then I paid about £50 a room a night on the easyjet hotel website. Frankly i expected... more

Stayed here with my 82 year old mum as a 3 day break for her. Went for the Waldstein due to it's apparent "old fashioned" aspects. Unfortunately problems started with reservations - we were given a room with a single bedroom whereas I had booked a two bedroom apartment. The hotel initially insisted the room I had been given was... more

My Wife and I wanted a relaxing stay whilst visiting Prague. The Hotel Waldstein’s web page looked good, giving a choice of paying extra for deluxe rooms, so we did but it was very disappointing. The room - or should I say 'rooms' as we had a double room beyond a twin room both of which were all ours! -... more

Beautiful building in a lovely location beneath Prague Castle. Ten minutes to Charles Bridge, but there is plenty to explore on this side of the river. Rooms were nice and period furniture was lovely. Double room had two single beds pushed together, which seems the norm in most hotels. Tea and coffee facilities and a well stocked reasonably priced mini... more

My husband & I totally enjoyed this hotel. The location was excellent. Close to many areas of interest yet removed from a lot of crowds & confusion. Nice quiet location that was easy walking distance to many areas in the historic area of the city.. Unique rooms. Plenty of space. Liked having a full breakfast included. Staff was very helpful... more

Having previously stayed in romantish hotels in europe, when I saw the Waldstein picture on the internet I immediately felt it looked like a Romantish hotel. I understand it did not meet ALL th requirements of being called a romantish hotel; but, after arriving and seeing the hotel in person and the accomidations, I still felt it is of the... more

My wife and I stayed here and found it to be a great value and fantastic location. Very quaint and just around the corner from the St. Charles Bridge on the other side of the river. more
