It could be our luck (bad of course), or there may be something terribly wrong with the current people working the Movenpick Hotel Prague, but it may serve its Swiss owners well to relook into how the hotel is being run. Firstly, while we clearly requested for a Non-Smoking Room and the room was indeed on a Non-Smoking Floor, the... more

Due to my work, I've stayed in this hotel the last couple of months usually for about a week at the time. I stayed in the upper hotel. The only way to get there is by cable cart or walking. This is the only negative point that I could find about this hotel. The staff is really friendly. The location... more

The positives about the Moevenpick are the very helpful staff and their flexibility. When I had problems connecting to the wireless internet their IT manager was made available to me within 10 minutes, something unique in my experience. They also were able to accommodate my requests for both early arrival and late departure. For someone looking for a very well... more

We stayed in this hotel for one week as part of a holiday package. The hotel is nice and modern with spacious comfortable rooms. The breakfast had a good selection of items while the two times we had dinner there the food was delicious. The staff was quite helpful, although not smiling often. The metro and tram stations are a... more

We travelled to this hotel from Doncaster and although we were delayed 3.5 hours the people from prague shuttle services were waiting for us and we arrived at the hotel at 1.00am. The staff on duty were very pleasant and showed us to our room on the first floor. It is what I call a conference hotel but just suited us... more

Found staff very welcoming, and English speaking. Concierge gave map of city & marked useful sites & nearest tram/bus stop. Room clean and reasonable facilities. TV speakers in bathroom - not sure if this is a good thing. Good selection at buffet breakfast Minor drawback is the walk uphill from the tram stop at Andel more

The Moevenpick Hotel Prague is located minutes away from Andel a major shopping area with excellent transport connections with the tram, bus and metro to the rest of the city. The Moevenpick Hotel Prague offers executive rooms which are seperate from the main hotel, nestled on the top of a hill. A great novelty factor is a red cable car... more

Our trip to Prague was magnificent. We stayed at the Movenpick Hotel. Very good service and great location. The Czech people very polite (even young people gave me their seat on trams, etc.) I would go back again. Food is reasonably priced and service excellent. There were 4 of us traveling together...ages from 69-40. more

I don't know what has caused the different experience of those who have given this hotel such bad reviews. I read them just before I went and expected to have as bad experience, but was from the moment I stepped out of the taxi surprised over the warm and personal welcoming I got. First of all the piccolo welcomed me... more

1. Concierge and manager refused to accept credit cards to buy tickets for the metro..since the Hotel is off the beaten track. (at least about 4 miles from the central city) 2. Wake up calls to catch an early flight never materialised. (for 40% of a group leaving one morning) 3. the steep hill to the lobby is a great... more
