I stayed in this hotel in 2005 and loved it. The service was excellent, the staff ultra helpful and polite and our room was spotless and cosy. Due to my previous pleasant experience I booked the same hotel this August. I was sooo dissapointed! The staff was indifferent or rude and there were serious cleanliness problems. I was given a... more

Sydney, Australia Stayed in this hotel for four nights with my partner and another couple. Nice room, centrally located and beautiful old building. No problems with amenities - clean and comfortable. A bit on the stingy side though with only one tea bag provided and extra charge if more were requested. Good location close to all the attractions. Main problem... more

We stayed at this property for four nights and found it to be of a great standard. The room was large with very good double glazing, air con, flat screen TV and a queen bed. The room and hotel were very clean and the bathroom had a power shower with body jets but no bath. There is a water and... more

It certainly is a nice experience to spend the evenings in a city like Prague for a week, but unfortunately I've chosen the Mercure Old Prague Hotel as accommodation, although there are several good hotels even in that same region of Prague (won't do that choice again ever). Although the location of the hotel is very good, being in Old... more

I stayed here for 1 week. If it wasn't for the bad service, I would have rated it 5. Pros: - location is central, at a walking distance to major tourist attractoins of the old city. 2-5 minutes walk to metro station (depending on which line you need) - rooms are nice and in good conditions - a recommended cafe... more

I have stayed 2 nights and 3 days at this lovely hotel. Mercure Old Town has a perfect location if you visiting Prague first time. Every detail of Old City is in your walk distance. My room was at the corner and very nice decorated. Bathroom was also very luxury when compare with other 4 star hotels. Housekeeping facilities were... more

We were given a ground floor room, small but clean. The bad thing is that you can not open the window because instead of a window is a door-window. Can you imagine sleeping with a door open in the ground floor? This was very unconfortable! Also the room is behind the dining room and possibly the kitchen facing a not well... more

Me and my wife arrived here on 19th April for two nights staying in room 111. The hotel is in a good location and can be seen from the entrance to Namesti Republiky (sp?) metro station. We took the bus 100 to Metro line B which took us about 50 minutes in total and cost a total of approximately £2.... more

This was my second visit, this time for 2 nights on Sunday and Monday 13 and 14 April 2008. The hotel is situated in a converted large town house or other rather grand building. It has ornate columns, high ceilings in corridors and a rather luxurious feel. My room (101) was on the small side but had a double bed.... more
