We arrived in prague and got metro and trams to the botel... we went inside and wanted to check in. They said there was a problem with the hotel and they were moving everyone to somewhere else. They told us to stand outside with our bags and wait for a taxi driver to bring us to our new hotel. As... more

Botel Racek is a bit far from the center. You have to take the tram for about 10 minutes which is no problem when the wheater is nice but when it's raining it is better to stay in the center anyway. The rooms are very small and they have only seperate beds which you can put together but when you... more

The idea of this hotel is fun. I thought I would have a good time but there were a few problems. Staff is unfriendly. There must have been bedbugs or something, because I was itchy the whole time I was in Prague, and never experienced this anywhere else. I did a backpacking trip across Europe and this was the worst... more

ROOM The bed was the most uncomfortable ive slept on in a hotel. There is no chance of getting romantic and passionate with your partner, there's a hard strip of wood seperating the two thin mattres.I'll never forget my wife saying"the woods up my bum!!"There is a torture musuem in prague, and that bed should be one of the exhibits! We ended up buying... more

Great rooms for a budget! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the hotel Racek in January 2008. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the first word which came to mind when we arrived was ‘quirky’. It’s lovely to be woken by the ducks in the morning and the rooms are clean and surprisingly spacious. Even though we were the... more

I stayed at Botel Racek for 11 nights over Christmas and New Year. When I first arrived at the hotel the lady at reception was very abrupt. I politely asked the same lady for change the next day and was told that it was 'my problem!' I'm unsure why such hostility was shown towards me. I was always polite and... more

I recently stayed in the Racek Botel and enjoyed it very much! The room was small, but very clean and comfortable and it met my needs perfectly. The staff at the front desk were very helpful with giving directions and arranging for a transfer to the airport at the end of my stay. You can also buy your tickets for... more

The botel was very nice to stay in, rooms were basic but has everything you need. You always have company (swans and ducks) which are lovely to watch! The staff were polite except some of the bar staff (long haired one and the one who thinks his dodgy tricks are great). We got the botel to book a taxi for... more
