Hotel U Suteru is a small and cosy hotel situated in the historical centre of Prague , about 100 metres from the famous Wenceslas Square. It is a perfect starting point for walking through the magnificent Prague. The first reference of the building dates back to 1383 and we can find there a beautiful example of gothic architecture in the restaurant, vaults and in most rooms. The building underwent a baroque reconstruction in the 18th century that can be observed from the outside view of the building. more » « less

The U Suteru was a charming place to stay and very well located for the all the main sights. The hotel room had lots of character, was well equipped and spacious. Staff were friendly and polite. One minor irritation was that our room was close to an inner door which other guests passed through and each time, the door would... more

My friend and I stayed 9 ful days at the Hotel U Suteru. We loved everything about it. Lots of atmosphere. we enjoyed watching the people from our window. The staff were excellent. We enjoyed our breakfasts especially the bread. The location is great even though we were always losing our way! We found a good reasonable restaurant around the... more

My husband and I went to prague to celebrate my Birthday in the middle of December. We had a wonderful time at the U Suteru and can't recommend their staff highly enough. They were friendly and efficient, and gave us a simple map which you really need, it's easy to get lost in those little lanes! We found our way... more

This was our third trip to Prague and on previous trips we had stayed in Old Town and Mala Strana. On this trip we thought we would choose a Hotel in the New Town area. We wanted a short walk to the State Opera as we would be attending a production of Rigeletto. U Suteru was our choice and we... more

Stayed here for 4 nts, booked based on reviews here, and weren't disappointed. Clean, spacious, comfortable, attractive and ideally located. Could walk to River, Restaurants and Clubs, and even to the castle if you're feeling fit,and can persude your companians to walk past the shopping opportunities in Wenceslaus Square. Room was for 3 adults, in a double and a sofa... more

We found U Suteru through a recommendation on this web site. Great value. Clean, well lit and well decorated with Czech charm. Beds were very comfortable, staff was helpful although lacking in English. No US plug converters available in hotel so bring your own. Included breakfast was pretty lame compared to previous similarly priced hotel (Alt Templehof) in Berlin and... more

Accommodation at U Suteru made my visit to Prague most enjoyable. I stayed with two friends in a double deluxe room. The room was spacey and the hotel very conveniently located near old town, metro stations and tram stops. The breakfast was enough to get us through until lunch. The location was perfect and yet away from the noisy and... more

We stayed at U Suteru for 3 nights, in one of their double deluxe rooms. Overall OK, but had a few problems so won't be recommending this one. The hotel is located about 2 minutes walk from Wenceclas square and 10-15 minutes to the old town square (on foot). Mustek metro station is literally round the corner although we never... more
