Hotel Tosca was recommended to us and we would recommend it to others. I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Tosca Hotel in Prague and can honestly say it was much better than I expected. We were originally booked into a different hotel which had plumbing problems when we arrived and so we were transferred to the Tosca. Good points - 2 minute walk from Namesti Miru (Miru square), which is 1 metro stop from Wencelas Square and 3 from Old Town/Charles Bridge or tram ride for Prague Castle - metro/tram 24 hour ticket £2 good value & saves hassle. We stayed at this hotel on a 2 night break, it is at least 20 minutes brisk walk from the main sights such as Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge. The rooms were very clean and quite pleasant and the bathroom was immaculate (very important to me!) but the breakfast was dreadful and we did not bother with it... more
