Great rate - under $105/nt with fees from Hotwire. Hotel is conveniently located nearby Union Station and the metro. Easy walk to Capitol, Supreme Court, etc. Beds were very comfortable. Room is small, but enough space for 3 people to move around without feeling cramped. Very clean. AC worked very well. Excellent HD Flat Screen to watch the olympics on.... more

Stayed for two nights. Excellent location for my purposes: just across from the Union Station metro and walking distance to the Capitol building. Room was quite nice, especially for the price (<$100 USD/night) and included free wireless internet. There's an Irish pub/restaurant downstairs, with outdoor seating. I ran into a handful of other people who had also booked rooms at... more

My husband and I stayed in the Phoenix Park for three nights in August having chosen it on the basis of Trip Advisor reviews. It is certainly very convenient being just steps away from Union Station and a short distance to the Capitol. The room was very comfortable....after we had asked to be moved because of an air conditioning unit... more

Thank you for sharing your experience at the Hotel. We understand the lack of public space especially for seating is a concern for our guests. Our property was built in the 1920s and expanded in the 1990s to accommodate for more space but the original architecture presented limitations to what we could do. However we are proud to have preserved...

Having stayed here a number of times previously I thought it a good place for a brief stay with a friend. There's not enough room here to list all the complaints, but the primary one is the rudeness of the wait staff and refusal of a "hostess" to seat us at a table because there were only two of us.... more

Thank you for your feedback. We have forwarded it to our restaurant manager as the restaurant located in our building is owned and operated separately from the Phoenix Park Hotel. We hope that your stay was still a pleasant one. We welcome any additional feedback you may have regarding our property.

My husband and I arrived late after a Bay Bridge truck accident caused massive traffic backups, so we were very tired and hungry. We were greeted by an understanding employee who generously upgraded our room and directed us to the Irish bar where they were still serving food and singing Irish songs. The hotel is located up the hill from... more

We decided on a Saturday to drive down to DC and combine work with pleasure with 2 of our kids. Drove down early Monday. Parking nearby but not part of the hotel. The room was on the small side, but the hotel was nice feeling, cozy but charming. The only real beef I have is the lack of sufficient air... more

We just returned from our DC trip and had a wonderful time in the capitol. The hotel was cleaned and staffs were friendly and resourceful. It is conveniently located close to Union Station and the Capital building. The Dubliner's is a great place to eat dinner or have a drink at night. I am not recommending it for breakfast however.... more

My wife and I just stayed for two nights at the historic Phoenix Park Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful time celebrating our 10th anniversary. The room was very charming and very clean with lovely furnishings and an incredibly comfortable bed. The front office staff was very professional and friendly and the manager inquired about our satisfaction with our room.... more

PPH is in a great location- if you take the metro in to Union Station, exit the station, turn right, walk down to the corner, and Phoenix Park is right there. Standing outside of the hotel, you can also see the Capitol building. It's a super nice hotel, with a really nice TV in the room. We only stayed one... more
