This is your run of the mill motel in a small town. Not many choices here in Alturas, CA. The receptionist was friendly. The parking lot and town as a whole is very quiet. Got stuck in Alturas because of a snowstorm. The staff here were friendly and our room was clean and quiet. The breakfast is nothing special but adequate. Would stay here again if we needed to. more

Stayed here one night en route from San Francisco to Washington State. Room was fine, breakfast was mediocre and parking was right outside the door. Loads of motor cycles about which made for early morning noise! Wasn't a problem for us as we were up early for our long drive ahead but this certainly wouldn't be a leisurely lie in... more

For a motel way out in the middle of nowhere, I was pretty impressed. The rooms were large and clean, with nice furniture. Great insulation/soundproofing--no need for earplugs here. A separate sink outside the bathroom is always appreciated so one can shave or put on makeup while the other showers. Nice continental breakfast. A whirlpool/jacuzzi would have been nice, though.... more
