It's been a while since we stayed there, but I just started using this site while searching for a different hotel to stay on our next trip to Disneyland. I suspect that the experience now is the same as when we went, though, and the price premium certainly is :). We arrived a little before check-in time, but were told... more

Check In: We arrived at 3pm and only had to wait a few minutes to be seen at the desk. From there it took more than a half hour until we had our keys because we were offered an upgrade and then the girl had no clue how to make the switch. Any costs associated with our “upgraded” room should... more

Room 5322. The hotel was amazing. We stayed for five nights 8/3/08 to 8/8/08. Checkin was a breeze. We arrived at 11:00am and we did call ahead and preregister. Our room was not ready so we toured the hotel and had some lunch. We were able to store our bags with the bellhop which is a fantastic convenience. After lunch... more

Just returned from two nights three day stay. Hotel stay was Thursday and Friday night. Some aspects of the hotel are top notch and they provide services that no one else can. Went with two teen daughters. Front desk, bell staff very friendly and efficient. Servers were also excellent and food was good. Of course location can't be beat. Have... more

Yes, the Grand Californian is expensive, but the location is worth it. We stayed here for three nights, and enjoyed the experience. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were given a room overlooking Downtown Disney. Worried at first about noise, we were really impressed with the quietness of the room when the balcony doors were shut. And the bonus... more

I stayed for 2 nights with a girlfriend and her two children (ages 4 and 6) and for the most part, we loved this hotel. It was worth the extra money to be so close to the park if the kids got grumpy and we needed a fast break! It's a very classy and adult hotel, but very kid and... more

We have visited Disneyland / Disneyworld before but never stayed in Disney accommodation so thought we would give it a shot. The valet service was excellent, our luggage and car were whisked away (buy guys wearing ridiculous pedal pusher trousers and silly caps). Check in was a real experience, dont miss it! We were seen by a lady called Linda... more

You can't beat this location. A private entrance to California Adventure and next door to DowntownDisnney. But that's it. You pay for a 5 star room and you get a 3 star room. Small, outdated, without enough number of lamps and the safe deposit box was the smallest I've ever seen. Service is also average and not always efficient. We... more

While the Disneyland Hotel is definitely more "Disney-ish", you just can't beat the close location of the Grand Californian! The lobby is really lovely and check-in was a snap. We received the type of room we requested (theme park view) and while our room was quite a ways away from the main lobby, it was quite close to the California... more

Being pass holders , we do receive a discount, just not enough to make it worth the price of staying here. Though after booking a room @ the org. Disneyland Hotel, we received a call a few days later. We were give a upgrade to the Grand. We had stayed her (childless) in the past. And this was our daughter's... more
