We were so delighted with the Pavilion, after 13 hard days of traveling in Vietnam, that we ditched our plans to see Phnom Penh and spent our entire day and evening lazing out at the hotel. The garden around the central pool is beautiful, and provides a wonderful atmosphere for relaxation. The "dread" solar-heated shower was more than comfy -... more

This property certainly deserves the good reviews it repeatedly gets. Have just returned from Cambodia and we spent 3 nights here in one of the private pool rooms. The pool isn't really big enough to swim properly in but it was fairy hot and humid during our stay so it was great to be able to jump in and cool... more

I stayed 2 nights in The Pavillons in November 2008. The hotel is a small beautiful green oasis, best situated in the heart of Phnom-penh. The rooms are clean but quite simple and expensive: 60 USD for the standard room and 85 USD for the private pool room (which is largely exagerated as the room provides no more advantages except... more

Our stays at the Pavilion were as we expected from the good reviews given on this site. Something that sometime miss in Cambodia, the management is present and excellent in this hotel and this is something we can feel through the attitude of all the friendly employees. The only problem was that "hot" water was not really hot at all.... more

The problem with the solar water heaters at the Pavilion is not that the water is not hot, but that it takes too much time to get from the roof to the shower. One needs to let only the hot the water run for over a minute before it actually reaches the shower. Best thing to do if there is...

We have just had 3 nights at the Pavillion, it having been recommended to us by a friend who lives in PP. It is in a fantastic position as it is in within walking distance of the Grand Palace and St 240 (good restaurants and shopping). The gardens are beautiful and tropical and well maintained. We booked a room with... more

We have indeed had a serious bad smell problem in room 11. After every rain, the bathroom filled up with an awful sewage smell. After trying to fix the toilets, than the sink and finally the shower without success, we decided to break the entire floor of the bathroom. We discovered there was no siphon at all! Apologies to all...

This is a delightful oasis in the madness of the capital - surrounded by its own dense jungle! The rooms are simple but comfortable, the staff are helpful and friendly - though the front desk could smile a little more. the house-keeping staff were excellent and the laundry service was so good and cheap you could only get it cheaper... more

It is a little more than what I would normaly pay but it was worth every penny for that little bit of comfort in a safe enviorment for when you first... more

This is a dream of a boutique traveller's hotel. Located just behind the Royal Palace and an easy stroll to the National Museum, the river and the Palace itself, it is well away from the tourist strip of bars and restaurants along the riverfront. Secluded behind a high wall, the main building is a lovely restored colonial era mansion (apparently... more

We also chose to stay at the pavilion based on it's rating on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we had staff helping us with our bags. The staff that ran the bar were very friendly and they cook incredible dishes off the menu, worth every penny! We loved the cozy secluded areas around the... more

Given the craziness of the city, this hotel was like an oasis. When I walked into the hotel at the end of the day, it was like being in my own garden, but nicer. As soon as I stepped foot into the hotel ground, my whole being relaxed. The staff were professionally friendly and prompt. The room was nice, and... more

There is a shampoo push-type tank in every bathroom. Perhaps we should label them a bit better...
