The Asia Palace Hotel was advertised as a 3 star hotel. We have stayed in many 3 star hotels in a number of countries (including SE Asia), and this hotel was significantly below the standard of all those other hotels. A friend had recommended that I stay at this hotel, because she said what you pay for far exceeds anyones expectations. So off I went! We stayed in this hotel in December 2007. Located in a central location, this hotel is within walking distance to the city market (an excellent market!) and the Mekong River.
