After a not so great hotel in Istanbul, it was refreshing to arrive at Hotel Kalehan. The staff were welcoming and assisted us in bringing our luggage to the room. We arrived without prior reservations and were pleasantly surprised at this property. The grounds are absolutely charming with a hammock, quaint little conversation areas, roses and a lovely small pool. There are three seperate buildings and each is full of quaint antiques and interesting objects. The food here is among the best we had. make sure to have dinner here.... more
