This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The location is near perfect - 1 block from Ben Yehuda, and walking distance of many major attractions/neighborhoods. Walking, the kotel is about 25 minutes away, Mea Shearim about 10-15 minutes, and several synagogues just 2-3 blocks away. The hotel itself is nice, although not luxiriant. The breakfast is good, and everything... more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in late June. The location was great, on a nice pedestrian street about 3 minutes from Ben Yehuda mall and about 20 minutes walk from the Machane Yehuda market and the Old City. The rooms and the bathrooms were sparse and dated but clean. The breakfast buffet is quite good, and... more

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but I was very pleased with this hotel. If you are on a budget and want a place that is basic, clean and in a GREAT location, this is your hotel. The hotel room is not luxurious but does the job. TV has about 40 cable channels in every... more

This a decent three star hotel which is close the shops, bars and restuarants in the modern part of Jerusalem. The staff were helpful and they also can book tours (the Dead Sea and Massada cost me about $90 and there's no way I would have got round this on my own). There are leaflets in reception with details of... more

Upon arriving at the Montefiore in the evening the first difficulty was trying to get from the taxi to the hotel with all of my luggage. The Montefiore is set back down a sidestreet that is blocked for all traffic, so if you have a lot of luggage you will be schlepping it all the way down a hill on... more

I stayed 3 nights in this hotel. The value is very good and the location is excellent as it is close to everything most tourists want. The room itself was fine. There was good cupboard space, adequate linens and thre bathroom was fine. The problems started over Shabbat. If one is not Haredi, staying here over a Shabbat can be... more

I stayed in this hotel in mid April 07. It's close to Ben Yehuda so it's very convenient in terms of shopping, food etc and it's just a short walk to the old city. On a quiet side street which was important to me. When I arrived I asked to change rooms to a higher floor (my mishigas) and they... more

I stayed here last January for a week and had a good opportunity to see this hotel for what it is. Below is my breakdown: Location: It is located right off of King George St. which is a main street in the center of Jerusalem. The hotel itself is on a little street so you are off the main drag.... more
