we went to noumea for our honeymoon on advice from our travel agent.what a major disappointment.Apart from the dirty smelly run down town centre, our so called 5 star property was a sham.We were only there for 4 nights and what a relief it was to head home.Even though it was reported to be great weather for the stay it rained... more

Everything is past its use by date staff do not have a clue eg wash balcony above and inundate you below without a thought. The buffets and breakfasts are not replenished so be there at the start!!!!. probably 3.5 star lucky the pool and gardens are very good. Like the rest of NC poor value for money. We flew directly... more

What a wonderful hotel! Absolute beachfront with a semi-private beach which you will appreciate if in Noumea on a weekend. Loads of beach chairs and a beautiful pool, and lovely garden area to sit beachfront in the shade all day with a bar nearby. You can only use the kayaks or other vessels until 4pm which drove us nuts as... more

I stayed here for a week over the Christmas period. The hotel itself is nice but definately not 5 star. The quality and finish is more of a 4 star standard. Our ocean view rooms were immaculate with well provided amenities. The bathroom was very large with a bath, separate shower, separate toilet & privacy shutters which opened onto the... more

Stayed in Le Meridien for 10 days. I have read very bad reviews about this hotel, however it was fine. The rooms were good with all the usual ameneties, linnen was changed every day(as it should be) the staff were friendly and helpfull. However i have stayed in lots of Starwood hotels, and would not rate this one as one... more

We stayed here as a 2-for-1 offer from New Zealand. Room was lovely, King size bed, large private balcony (we were at the very end of a block with the balcony shaded by trees), good bathroom, ample toiletries, mini-bar/fridge. Our beds were turned down on a couple of nights. Pool area was good with swimming pool, loungers, complementary towels. It's... more

Le Meridien, even after a 12 hour flight delay, reception was open for us. Room had not been used for some days and quite musty, but once the doors to the balcony overlooking the ocean were opened, that smell soon dissipated. The room was comfortable and all the mod cons you expect from this style hotel. Lobby Bar ok, Restaurants... more

Upon arriving the first thing you see is an abandoned rat infested 12 story building less then 50 meters from the Meridien Noumea. A lot of the local teenagers hang out in this abandoned building. However, the windows of the rooms all face a court yard that is pleasant enough. The grounds of the hotel are very small. From the... more
