The hotel was quite serviceable for our needs. We found the staff friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was included with our package was adequate and had both Egyptian and western food.Nothing fancy or elaborate but provide a convenient base to start our day. Some minuses: No pool, no workout center and it aappeared the biz center was closed! Also the... more

Stayed there for 3 nights beginning October. Had booked a superior room for more comfort, we did not get the comfort expected.. In the bathroom nothing worked. My sister who was travelling with us had to change rooms twice, bad smell, leaking bath etc. The rooms look old and badly need refurbishing. I may be wrong but I think that... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights - overall it was a good stay. The good points for this hotel was that our room was very clean, spacious and in a nice area. The bad points would be the constant street/car noise at night (but in cairo I think this is common for all hotels in the city), also... more

Very shortly, if you have enough money and first time in Cairo stay in one of the 5 star hotels on Nile River.Flamenco hotel has nothing to do with chain Golden Tulip brand except their shower gel and shampoo in Golden tulip sticker! The hotel room was so old-maybe 15-20 years old furniture- The rooms were small, and all the outside... more

I was meeting friends who had already chosen this hotel. First night was not too good... small double room on the second floor, VERY noisy with airconditioning that barely worked and it was SO hot in the room. Was moved the next day to a much better room on the 8th floor. Later in the week there was a water... more

Very basic hotel that at least is clean (well, almost since my bed linen were not changed from the previous customer! I had to ask for fresh ones at 1:30 am and do it myself...). It is located on Zamalek Island that is probably one of the nice spots in Cairo. It is an old building, strangely built (about half... more

I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and my experience with the hotel was not good. I reached the hotel at noon and next day I have to go to a big customer. I asked for the ironing/pressing of my clothes and the answer was sorry it is only available from 9 to 5 so please go to a... more

As a first time traveler to Egypt I had zero expectations as to the quality of my hotel or its services. The highlights are as follows: The bathroom- it was huge with the biggest tub I have seen outside a jacuzzi. There was an "American" toilet with an additional bidet for those interested in that tidbit. The tub was HUGE... more

This is a great hotel for a reasonable budget on Zamalek island. It is not touristy, nor is it particularly Americanized -- but if you're looking for a clean, friendly place to stay with huge rooms and a view of the Nile, this is it. more
