The Gold Coast hotel is defintely not a 5 star hotel and it is quite far from Kowloon and HK island. If you stay in HK and is in need of a short get away, you may consider this hotel. However, for tourists, the beach in HK is not worth a trip there. The Bad - The bell boy took... more

This hotel is a bit out of the way, but perfect for a relaxing break. The bed is great, the rooms very large by HK standards. The Lobby and atrium are beautiful, and the glass elevator is great! The common areas of the hotel were stunning, with beautiful gardens. Unfortunately, the Pool Area was roped off and out of bounds... more

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were lovely, good facilties, beautiful gardens. Need to heat the pool. It was too cold to use! Our children really enjoyed it. Not much choice of restaurants nearby, but the hotel restaurants is ok. Nice breakfast. Would definitely return. Reception needs to get it's act toghetr check in took about an hour... more

The overall experience was terrific. As previously noted, it's not a five star hotel, but rather a four star hotel. If you consider the hotel's standard to the low price for a room, it's absolutely great value. It's perfect for families, because it's a resort with beautiful pools. The room wasn't anything special. We had a balcony room, but in... more

Had a very happy stay! and being New Year definitly added something special to the visit. No not really 5 star but a good 4 and a half, with helpfull staff, and a very large room provided. The choice of pillows from the pillow menu was excellent as was room service!. Food in the resturant was a little slow, and... more

When thinking about our stay at the Gold Coast hotel, I have really mixed feelings. There are many great things about this hotel; the grounds are amazing, the setting is beautiful, the public areas are really impressive and the staff all speak good English. The beach is really nice as is the pool area, in fact the whole hotel is... more

The Gold Coast hotel is not quite a 5 star hotel but there are a few points that made it a pleasure to stay at. If you are after a get away that still allows you to travel into Kowloon for the shopping then the Gold Coast is an oasis. The Good: The gardens are lovely and well maintained. The... more

My family and I have just returned from 6 nights at the Gold Coast Hotel Hong Kong. It was planned as an extended stop over to break up the long journey from Heathrow to Sydney. We had pre-booked (500HK$) a Mercedes Limo from Hong Kong Airport to the hotel, on arriving at the arrivals hall a smartly dressed man was... more

Stayed here for 12 nights from 13th October. Fantastic hotel and would thoroughly recommend for a bit of relaxation from the bustle of Kowloon and HK island. Staff were friendly and although the breakfast was quite expensive, the meals in breakers bar were excellent value. 4 course meal for roughly £10.00 each. Staff in bar were very friendly giving us... more

My two friends and I booked this hotel for three nights at the end of a two week holiday in mainland China. We were strongly influenced by the good reviews on Trip Advisor thinking the hotel would be just what was required after a very enjoyable but busy tour. We booked two deluxe rooms with balconies directly through the hotel... more
